Compare & Contrast: Covergirl Lashblast Mascaras

Happy Fall! Today I will be doing a compare and contrast of two different Lashblast Mascaras. I would like to start off by saying that these are topnotch drugstore mascaras. They go for about $7 each and they are perfect for everyday use.

1. Covergirl Lashblast Fusion Mascara
Rating 6.5/10

This mascara will give you a lot of volume and bold color. But the clumps that come off of this brush are intense. The brush shape is a large cylinder, this contributes to the volume, but it is also what allows large clumps of mascara to stick to it. The formula is very soft and moist and the bristles are thin, which makes this mascara easy to apply. After using this, it is pretty obvious that you’re wearing mascara because the formula makes your lashes stand out.

Rating: 8/10
This is my go-to mascara. It leaves your lashes with no clumps whatsoever. The reason I don’t give it a 10/10 is because, without the use of an eyelash curler, the mascara doesn’t give your eyes the “pop” it’s supposed to. Your eyelashes will look better than usual, but they won’t stand out. Unlike the Fusion, the formula of this mascara is dry and the bristles are thick, but the mascara still magically does a good job of separating your lashes.  Overall, when you put this on, your friends won’t be able to tell you’re wearing this mascara, but they’ll be wondering why your eyelashes look so good. My favorite feature of this mascara is the curved brush. It works with the natural curve of your lashes to reach every eyelash. This has been named the #1 drugstore mascara for a few years now, and once you try it—you’ll know why.

If you decide to compare these mascaras yourself and buy both of them, I suggest using the clump crusher first, then adding the Fusion for extra color and volume. The two mascaras compliment each other wonderfully.

      1. I have small eye lashes and this mascara just won’t make them pop.
I use scandal eyes curves from Rimmel 🙂

      2. I have small lashes too! Have you tried using an eyelash curler? I use one now whenever I wear mascara and it’s a game-changer.
