On the radio this morning, I heard the anchor ask this question in reference to a family who started their own reality show after becoming obsessed with Keeping Up with the Kardashians. I find this to be an intriguing prompt due to the fact that it’s a question I have asked myself my whole life. When I was little I used to narrate my life and try to make it seem as though every moment was was worth watching. Yesterday was my Dad’s Birthday, so I decided to dedicate this post to him. Him and I don’t always see eye-to-eye but I know he cares about me and that’s all that really matters.
My father has been saying that he is so bored with this life lately. He has “nothing to look forward to”. I told him that his kids are supposed to make him feel young. When you have kids you’re supposed to look forward to the new changes and milestones in their lives. He disagrees. He opened up to me and said he can’t feel young unless the changes I make revolve around his opinions. This means that he won’t be happy unless I do what he says.
