Happy World Poetry Day! I hope today brings you a plethora of good vibes and great thoughts! Continue reading “World Poetry Day // the sadist”
First off, I want to say that absolutely adore this scent. I picked up these items at my local Bath & Body Works toward the beginning of this month and I’ve enjoyed them a lot. I usually go for the sweeter, more fruity scents—but vanilla is my guilty pleasure. This has become my go-to perfume.
Getting to the moral of the story, during the colder months, it becomes very important to moisturize and make sure your skin stays hydrated. As we layer up, we tend to wash more and take care of our skin less. Body Creams and Lotions are two products you can use when moisturizing. Here are some key differences between them. As I write to you from the belly of the beast, I’d like to apologize to those of you who have enjoyed the consistency with which I’d written on this site in the past. As some of you may have noticed, this site has moved from whenever inspiration strikes to Bella XO.
I will not delete my old posts because that would be like deleting my past, and we all know that we can’t change the past.
For this prompt, I was told to write a letter to myself, and I guess because I’m young I’ll write to my future self. There are a lot of things I hope for when I think about who I’ll be when I’m older. Continue reading “A Letter to a Different Me// Writing Prompt: Entry 6”

On the radio this morning, I heard the anchor ask this question in reference to a family who started their own reality show after becoming obsessed with Keeping Up with the Kardashians. I find this to be an intriguing prompt due to the fact that it’s a question I have asked myself my whole life. When I was little I used to narrate my life and try to make it seem as though every moment was was worth watching. To this day I wonder if my life is something people would enjoy captured on the big screen. Continue reading “Would My Life Make a Good Reality TV Show?”
Today’s prompt is: What do I wish for the most? This is a selfish question in my opinion. At first glance, you will think of items you’ve been longing for. But because that’s not what I’m usually focused on, it is something I’d actually have to think about. When I read this question, it tells me to dig deeper and unveil my personal goals.
For my first magical genie wish, I wish that something in my life would be constant. Friends don’t stay; Boys don’t stay; My happiness never stays. I simply want a friend who will be there for me when I need them, someone who I really feel like I can trust. Some might say that the best people are standing right in front of me but because I’m too busy looking for something else, I take them for granted. Well sorry life, but there aren’t that many people in front of me. Continue reading “Wishing on a Star // Writing Prompt: Entry 5”

Has anyone ever asked you where your “happy place” is? That question is usually used as a strategy tailored to finding inner peace, so you can focus and do your best work. Here is a new trick that will boost your mood: think of one of your favorite childhood memories. It could be the smell of fresh grass, the morning route you took to deliver newspapers, walking into your favorite candy store, or playing with your favorite toy. Just think of it, and go there. Immerse yourself and feel at peace. If you loved watching the sunrise with your parents: FaceTime them at 5am and watch it on your porch. If you loved the smell of Grandma’s brownies: get the recipe and bake them. Continue reading “My Favorite Childhood Memory”
Whether it’s in your head or on paper, everybody has a bucket list of things they want to do or accomplish. But what about a list of things you want to know; a list of questions that you hope scientists and researchers will have the answer to by the time you die? This writing prompt forced me to evaluate those things. Here are the 5 things I want to know/learn:
1. I want to know how it feels to be in love.
Now let me clarify, I want to know how it feels to be in love with someone who loves me back—I’ve already experienced unrequited love. I hope that I will one day be able to find a person I can call my soul mate. I don’t know if I believe in fate, but I believe that if you work hard enough you can create your destiny. Continue reading “5 things I wish I knew // Writing Prompt: Entry 4”
Yesterday was my Dad’s Birthday, so I decided to dedicate this post to him. Him and I don’t always see eye-to-eye but I know he cares about me and that’s all that really matters.
My father has been saying that he is so bored with this life lately. He has “nothing to look forward to”. I told him that his kids are supposed to make him feel young. When you have kids you’re supposed to look forward to the new changes and milestones in their lives. He disagrees. He opened up to me and said he can’t feel young unless the changes I make revolve around his opinions. This means that he won’t be happy unless I do what he says. I saw this movie the day after its release date: on July 28th,2016. In short: it was an awesome film. After seeing the trailers, I expected a lot more romance. But this is no love story. Luckily, there is so much action and drama within the film. Everything surrounding Vee (played by Emma Roberts) seems to be falling apart all at different times—so there is never a dull moment. If you have never seen a trailer, Nerve is a game where people sign up to play and make money from dares, or to watch the players and pay a fee. The intent of the game is to get the most watchers (comparable to instagram followers) and to lose you either fail to complete a dare or you refuse to do it. Continue reading “Movie Review: Nerve”
This prompt was titled “Most Prized Moments”. I don’t think this post will be very long considering the fact that I’m a teenager. I know that the intention of this prompt was most likely to list tangible awards and certificates, but there are many other important things a person can achieve in their life without necessarily getting a medal for it, and that is what I would like to demonstrate in this post. After reading this I hope you will be able to understand where my priorities lie. This list is in no particular order of importance.
The greatest accomplishments of my short life have been:
- Becoming the President of my Class. Yes, I actually did that. And yes, it felt awesome.
- Actually joining a sports team. I’m a runner now and I feel as if I can conquer anything. My shortness of breath holds me back from climbing Everest, but I won’t let it keep me from going on a nice, long jog.
- Being selected for a spot in a poetry book (getting published). The book I was entered in comes out in December! Continue reading “My Most Noteworthy Accomplishments // Writing Prompt: Entry 3”
I have a dream and today I am proclaiming it to the world. I want to write stories loosely based on my life. I want to watch someone pick up my novel and not be able to put it down. I want someone to write a review on my work and call it hypnotic. I want someone to go through this blog and not be able to stop reading. Maybe they’ll find me on Pinterest or on the WordPress reader—but once they start reading they can’t stop and once they close the tab on my site they re-open it a few minutes later because they have the urge to find me again. I really just want to know I’m a validated writer that people respect. Continue reading “I want to be a Good Writer”
