I got a set of Sheaffer Calligraphy Pens and Inks for my Birthday and that set ended up being my enabler. Ever since I received that set just over a month ago, I have been exploring the Fountain Pen realm. It only made sense that my first fountain pen was the same brand as my Calligraphy Set, and that’s how I ended up buying the Sheaffer VFM, in the Fine Size, in Neon Blue from Amazon.
I was a bit skeptical about using All-Natural Deodorant at first. Could a deodorant without any harsh chemicals effectively stop odor?
I know that regular store-brand deodorants have aluminum in them, and that can cause breast cancer. Because breast cancer runs in my family, I’ve always been careful not to use too much deodorant. When a few of my friends started trying Natural Deodorants, they recommended that I try this brand: Schmidt’s. They claimed it was even better at blocking odor than normal deodorants.
That night, I hopped on EBay and picked up this Bergamot and Lime scented deodorant for $10. It’s a little expensive in my opinion, but I being healthy has always had a hefty price tag.
I stayed up last night watching the 1995 film Clueless. It is not exactly a classic, but I believe that the motifs you can take from this movie will hold true for a long time. Clueless was filmed in the age before laptops or smartphones, but because 1995’s technology wasn’t the movie’s main focus, this shouldn’t be a reason you decide against watching it . Before I begin my review, yes, Clueless is available on Netflix. Continue reading “Movie Review: Clueless”
A few days ago, I finished reading Anna and the French Kiss, by Stephanie Perkins. It took me only a week to finish this book—it kept me on my toes. This book became my guilty pleasure. I’d think about reading it when I had a moment off during class and I felt empty when I’d forget to put it in my bag. It made me scream, plead and cry—just like any modern TV Drama would do. Six months ago I read about Colourpop in an article from BuzzFeed and I knew I wanted to try these extraordinary lip products. Colourpop is a glamorous new makeup line based in LA and made in the USA. I got 3 matte lippie stix and 1 satin. The lipsticks are $5 each, which is pretty spectacular. All of these smell like vanilla which is another perk. Continue reading “Makeup Review: Colurpop’s Lippie Stix + Swatches”
Nude nail polishes have gradually become some of the most popular nail polishes out there. They are almost as essential as matte lipsticks. Nude nails look sleek, elegant, and professional. It goes with any outfit, any time of year. Recently I picked up this shade from my local drugstore. It took me a while to figure out which nude nail shade I wanted to buy because I had never bought one before. Eventually, I settled on “Elegant” because it seemed to flatter my skin tone.
Recently I picked up this lipstick and I’m very excited to try it. Revlon is a high-end drugstore brand. This means that their products are usually between $6 and $15. I have used Revlon in the past and I think it is a lovely brand with beautiful lipsticks, nail polishes, and foundations. I was looking for a new nude lipstick and this one compelled me.
Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Color in HD Seduction
- Before buying this, I put some swatches of the lipstick on my hand to see how the color looked. On my skin, it looked just darker than nude which is exactly what I wanted. Continue reading “Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Color | Review + Swatches”
In the past, I’ve used regular Bioré Pore Cleansing Strips on days when I feel that I should look my best. I never really thought that they were the most effective product on the market, but they made me feel as though that my face was really clean, and that is a very satisfying feeling. Over the summer, I tried the Japanese Charcoal Mask. I’ve read fantastic reviews on this product, so I was very excited to use it and see the results for myself. More recently, I received a package in the mail with the Bioré Charcoal Strips. In this post, I will review all three products and tell you which one is worth your time and money. Happy One Month of Blogging to Me! Yesterday was August 10th, which means that one month ago I sat on my laptop and began writing my first blog post. Since then I’ve changed this blog an incredible amount and I’ve learned so much. I want to thank all of my amazing followers for helping me to fall in love with blogging each and every day.
I’ve heard of so many ways people are fundraising for different causes: from t-shirts,ribbons, and advertised websites to school fundraisers and spirit weeks, there are so many creative ways to support a cause you’re passionate about. Why not show your support in style? While on a retreat, I noticed a booth of beautiful, beaded bracelets.

I wasn’t expecting that the first movie I reviewed on this blog would be a PG movie, but it just so happens that on July 13th my aunt took my cousins (ages 6 and 9) and I to see this flick. I want to start by saying that prior to seeing this movie in the theatre, the only commercial I had seen for this movie was a 15 second ad that, about a moth ago, would play before every single video in my music playlist on YouTube. This means that I had little-to-no prior knowledge of the plot of this movie. When I walked in the theatre to see this movie I did not expect to enjoy the movie I was about to see as much as I did.
