15 All-Natural Face Masks!

Everyone has an issue with their skin: whether you have pimples, dark spots, blackheads or dry skin, you’re never satisfied. So many people and companies claim to have found the solutions to all of these. Maybe the solution is $300, a true miracle, or complete trash, but I would rather try to make a duplicate at home than waste my money.  Through the years, I have bought some products that claim to “work miracles” and I have tried others that people “swear by”. I turned a new leaf, and recently I have been trying face masks using all-natural ingredients that you can find around your house. Now, I can’t just push one or two masks on you and guarantee they’ll work, because everyone’s face is different, so in this post, you will find a total of 15 masks for all different purposes. I hope you find one that works for you.

Masks for Removing Dirt from Skin: Blackheads, Acne, Deep Pore Cleanse:

  • “Charcoal Face Mask” for all dirt but focuses on blackheads:
  • Take Charcoal Powder and Elmer’s Glue (or any other liquid glue) and mix them into a paste. You can also add Peppermint Extract if you’re feeling frisky (this is optional but it will give the mask a nice smell and leave your face with a tingly feeling).
  • Put the paste all over your face with a brush—avoiding spots with hair.
  • After the mask dries, peel it off (pull upward).
  • Wipe your face with a warm towel to get rid of the excess mask.

It will take out blackheads and other dirt from your skin—because the mask is black you can actually see all of the dirt it took out. If you want to learn more about this search “Charcoal Blackhead Mask”on YouTube. Do not overuse it! This mask is strong so don’t use it more than once a week or your pores will stay open and more dirt will be able to get in your skin! I recommend using a face tightening mask after using this one so your face stays clean.

  • “Egg White Mask” for Dirt
  • Crack an egg over a bowl, but only allow the egg whites to seep into the bowl (the yolk will not be used). Whisk the egg white into a paste. You can add 1 tbsp of lemon juice to the paste to reduce the size of pores.
  • Get a few tissues (you can use facial tissue, paper towels, or even toilet paper) and separate the layers of the tissue carefully (most tissues are two-ply).
  • Apply one layer of egg white to your face with a brush.
  • Put the (now one-ply) tissue over the layer of egg white on your face (you may want to cut the tissue so it fits better over your face).
  • Apply another layer of egg white over the layer of tissue.
  • After the mask hardens, peel it off (pull upward).
  • Wash your face with warm water.

I tried this mask once and I guess something went wrong because it didn’t take very much dirt out of my skin. I recommend putting your face over a broth of hot water, to open your pores, before applying this face mask. To learn more search “Egg White Mask” on YouTube.
